Summer Reading: Comic Creation

When I first decided that I wanted to do a comic creation program as part of our summer reading program, I was thinking digital comics. However, I quickly realized that even all the ipads I could scrounge up (this was before we got our brand new super shiny ipads from our friends group) wouldn’t be enough for all the kids I wanted to let in.

Summer Reading: Superhero Training Camp

Like many libraries, our summer theme this year is heroes! We were all pretty excited (DUH) and had a lot of trouble limiting ourselves to what was doable. This was also the first year that I was in charge of planning the entire summer reading program, and I made a lot of big changes, which are going pretty well (more on that in a future blog post, but think down on plastic crap!).
