This was our last regular Maker Monday of the year, and we did some serious building. I challenged the kids to build the tallest structure possible out of four materials:
For some reason, I expected the kids to build either a marshmallow/toothpick tower OR a straw/tape tower, since those were the two examples from pinterest that I had in mind. Of course, the kids still can’t read my mind and they blew me away with their creativity, material mixing, and problem solving.
Some worked slowly and really diligently, some threw stuff together, but they all had fun! Well, most of them…
And, I didn’t have to deal with leftover marshmallows; if you ever want kids to adore you just give them a handful of dirty sugar to eat.
